Pokered Out

So Paul enjoys himself a game of poker, okay he plays a lot. From online to home games, he can't get enough of the game. It is always on his mind and he has the makings of a professional.He is cool under pressure, hard to read, skilled and tight with his money, play or real. I play occasionally with him. We play in the park under the trees, we play with chocolate coins, we play online. I never play for cash, he knows that. For me, it is a game, not a gamble. Winners know when to stop, haha. But I love him nonetheless and will support (if not watch) this habit.

We edit poker, it's our job. We are surrounded by it all day. We learn from the best. It is like being in a poker school. Watching the bad beats, watching the folds, watching the body language... we learn. Thus our game becomes better even though we may not be playing. I can say that from not playing (a year ago), I would love to become a professional player, oh the pressures though.

So I leave you with some wise words;

"One should always play fairly when one has the winning cards..."
- Oscar Wilde
