Lyric of the Day

This has to be one of the most unbelievable songs ever written. I have loved it since I was all of 17 years old. Yes, young and impressionable I guess. It is fast, aggressive and passionate. It fully embodies what the band is all about. I had a listen to them today and it took me right back to when I was that 17 year old girl who loved going to shows (I still do!). It put a smile on my face. I identified with the lyrics back then and they are still relevant to my life now. I don't quite know what that says about me maturing, maybe I have just adapted them, but then I believe that is the secret to a well-crafted song.

"I don't want to feed myself the appetite of excess.
I don't want to be another voice in the wind,
got it easy in a world that's not supposed to be,
it makes me wonder if i think too much about me..."
- An American Paradox by Strung Out
