Take It or Leave It
" I might repeat to myself slowly and soothingly,
a list of quotations beautiful from minds profound
-- if I can remember any of the damn things..."

Take It or Leave It
Dorothy Parker has to be one of my all-time favourite poets and writers. Her wit, wry intelligence and self-deprecating manner is too brilliant for well, words. She has stuck with me since covering some of her works in high school. I have always looked to her as the spinster who had a way with words, men and the bottle. She was not a shy drinker nor lover. She told many a tale without a flush of the cheek. I admire her 'answer-to-no-one, no apologies' style. The next few posts and quotations will be featuring her quips and quirky comments. Do enjoy!
"I've never been a millionaire but I just know I'd be darling at it..."
